PASSPORT RENEWAL

The electronic passport must be renewed in person at the Consulate of Panama in Washington, DC. If you have any questions about the renewal of your passport or your cedula is expired, please send us an email to info@embassyofpanama.org or call us at 202-483-1407.

In order to renew your passport, you must do the following:

1. Schedule an appointment with the Consulate. To schedule your appointment please call us at 202-483-1407 or email info@embassyofpanama.org.

On the day of your appointment you must present the following:

1. VALID CÉDULA - (identification card from Panama).

2. Bring your last passport that is expired or is about to expire.

3. In case of lost passports you must file a complaint with the Consulate or to the Police Authorities in your state.

4. Payments:

For a 32-page passport, the cost is $ 190.00 which must be distributed as follows:

1- The first payment will be made through a money order for $90.00 payable to: CONSULADO DE PANAMA.

2- The second payment will be made on the day of the appointment, through the website of the Panama Passport Authority. The cost is B/.100.00 (one hundred dollars) with a VISA or MASTERCARD.

RETIREES (Women older than 55 and men older than 60):

For a 32-page passport, the cost is $ 140.00 which must be distributed as follows:

1- The first payment will be made through a money order for $90.00 payable to: CONSULADO DE PANAMA.

2- The second payment will be made on the day of the appointment, through the website of the Panama Passport Authority. The cost is B/.50.00 (fifty dollars) with a VISA or MASTERCARD.

5. Please bring a Pre-paid envelope to return your passport. The pre-paid must contain a tracking number, we recommend to use Fedex, Express mail or Priority mail from the USPS.
