Public Universities
Universidad de Panamá (UP)
Founded in 1935 the UP is the main public university of the country. It has 19 schools and 10 regional centers distributed nationwide.

Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá (UTP)
The technical university, known as "la Tecnológica." It is the second-largest university of Panama. The institution has graduated over 65 thousand students since 1981.
